The Villa is set in a lovely private setting, lush green shrubs and trees shield you from the outside world and is at the end of a private road so no passing traffic.

 

The Vill is our home in the winter so is very well designed and equipped with everything you could need, especially in the kitchen.

 

Outside there are lots of covered terraces so you can get out of the sun when you want to, and plenty of space to sunbathe. The views of the mountains is stunning and only 8 minutes from the beach.

The house is completely private (not overlooked) and in a small village which is its charm. You have your own private electric gate and surrounded by green lush trees and mature garden. When by the pool all you can see is mountains and green! You can see some other houses in the distance when on the upstairs balcony. 

 

There is no public transport from where we are but there are lots of good country walks from where we are. We are only 8 minutes from the National Road so it is easy to get onto the main roads to visit Chania or Rethymno or any of the charming villages or towns nearby.

The town has a lovely cafe & restaurant run by a lovely greek couple. There only do a small choice of foods but what she does is excellent and very good value. It is a traditional taverna frequented by the locals (always a good sign!).

 

The well known town of Georgiopoli is only 8 minutes away where there is a lovely beach a huge variety of bars and restaurants, Kalyves and Almirida are to the north, a little further away but both lovely towns with stunning beaches.

Chania is 35 minutes away and Rethymno is 25 minutes away, there are lots of supermarkets including Lidl and also a go kart course if you want a bit of action!

Kournas Lake is only 10 minutes away, a wonderful place to go and relax, to eat by the lakeside or go out on a pedalo.
